Subject: /etc/hosts.equiv file

If the /etc/hosts.equiv file contains only one line:
+ @
 all
will it cause any security problem?

If I remove the /etc/hosts.equiv file and add two files
/etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny, will they prevent
the security problem?

Thanks.
