The AOL mail reader is only slightly more brain-alive than this old DOS MCI
Mail package I'm answering from. Neither has any sort of automated
quote-and-reply built in.
That said, I have two suggestions:
1. AOL probably has better mail readers available for download from their
software libraries. Some intrepid list manager could figure out what one
is, and publicize it here, for all and sundry to recommend to their
AOL-based users.
2. AOL IS a Windows package (it runs on the Mac, too, but I'm a Windows
user). Thus, it has cut-and-paste. If you grab somebody's mail address,
you can paste it into the "To:" window.
Now, AOL software is buggy; the one person I tried to force to use this
feature said it didn't work on her installation. But most users should be
able to do that.
Hope this helps!
